Hoffplanet Records

---

Hoffplanet is built on documented attempts—on camera, on the acreage, and on the board under our feet. This page is the home for walking records, distance challenges, and Guinness World Record attempts. Numbers below are Hoffplanet-reported unless an outside verifier is named. Attempts and goals are labeled clearly.

January 2025 — Most steps in one month

In January 2025, Hoffplanet set out to break the published high mark for most steps in a single month.

Published high mark we chased: 2,028,200 steps
Hoffplanet total: 2,205,429 steps

That month was not a casual step challenge. It was a full training block: early mornings, late nights, recovery that never quite caught up, and a room that turned into a walking lab. The point was simple—prove the body and the discipline could push past a number the internet treated as the ceiling, then put the proof on Hoffplanet.

We track walking with consumer apps and sensors (including tools like Samsung Health where noted in our content). Totals on this page are Hoffplanet’s reported results from those sessions. They are not automatically the same thing as a Guinness World Records title unless Guinness has accepted and published the attempt.

What comes next: a 3,000,000 steps in one month attempt planned for 2027. That is an attempt and a training target, not a completed result.

Why it matters for Hoffplanet

Walking records sit in the middle of the Hoffplanet story: BMX and skate roots, a Nebraska acreage built toward self-sufficiency, and a long-horizon goal of preparing a tight crew for deep space work. Endurance on Earth is practice for everything harder that comes after—food systems, infrastructure, documenting the grind when nobody is watching.

Distance challenges (Hoffplanet claims)

These are project milestones we track on the acreage and in training. Treat them as Hoffplanet claims and ongoing projects unless an outside body verifies them.

Coast to coast in one pair of shoes — Cross the equivalent of a USA coast-to-coast distance in a single pair of shoes. Status: Hoffplanet project claim / in progress as documented on the site and socials.

Around Earth — nine pairs of Hoka — Cover the equivalent of Earth’s circumference (about 25,000 miles) in only nine pairs of shoes—far fewer than a typical expectation of 50+ pairs for that kind of distance. Status: Hoffplanet-reported project figures (including Hoka pair counts such as 4+ / 9 as shown in our updates).

Around Earth — in one room — Accumulate Earth-circumference distance while training primarily in one room. Status: Hoffplanet claim / project framing for the indoor endurance build.

Steps since October 2023 — Ongoing cumulative volume since October 2023, including 24+ million steps in this era. Confirm the latest total on our socials before treating any single lifetime number as final—we will keep this section current as logs roll forward.

Guinness World Record attempts

Hoffplanet has pursued and continues to pursue official Guinness World Record attempts, including: longest BMX bike bunnyhop; most full-extension punches in one minute; and additional attempts to be announced.

Status: These are attempts. An attempt is not a verified Guinness title until Guinness processes and publishes it. We will update this section when an attempt is submitted, pending, approved, or retired.

Newspaper and media

Press clips, local features, and interview links belong here as they go live. If you are a reporter covering the January 2025 step month, the 2027vthree-million attempt, or the acreage project, use the Contact page. (Swap this paragraph for real article titles and links when you have them—do not leave empty “Newspaper Articles” headers.)

How we report numbers

Hoffplanet record / Hoffplanet claim = our logged or stated result for the project. Attempt = in progress or planned; not finished as a verified title. Guinness = only when the attempt is tied to Guinness process; approval is separate. Apps and wearables (Samsung Health, Sweatcoin, WeWard, and similar) are tools we use; they are not independent awards bodies. Honesty keeps the mission credible. If a number changes after a recount, we will correct this page.
